π Important Prescription Request Update
Effective from 5th January 2026
π We Will No Longer Accept Prescription Requests by Phone, Paper, or Email
To improve our prescription process and ensure patient safety, we are making changes to how prescription requests can be submitted. As of 5th January 2026, we will no longer accept prescription requests by telephone, paper, or email, including requests from pharmacies.
This change is part of a Bradford-wide update to streamline and secure prescription ordering. We understand this is a significant change, and we appreciate your cooperation in following the new procedure. Please read below for the correct ways to request your medication.

How to Request Your Repeat Prescription
You can request your repeat prescriptions in the following ways:
NHS APP - NHS App and your NHS account - NHS
Online – Register to request your repeat prescriptions using our online service.
(Ask at Reception for details).
β Please Note:
β We do not accept prescription requests over the phone, by paper, or via email after 5th January 2026.
β We cannot action changes or special instructions through the online request service.
π£οΈ If your repeat medication needs to be changed or amended, please contact the surgery and speak to a member of staff.
π Processing Time
Please allow 2 full working days for prescriptions to be processed and signed.
We recommend ordering your medication a few days before you run out to avoid delays.
π Pharmacy Collection & Electronic Prescriptions
Some local pharmacies can collect your prescription from the surgery. Please ask Reception to arrange this for you.
We also offer the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS), where prescriptions are sent directly to the pharmacy of your choice. Speak to your pharmacist or our Reception Team to set this up.

Due to a Bradford-wide update, GPs can no longer accept repeat prescription requests directly from pharmacies unless:
